You will not only gain skills in your work place but also a wider ranges of skills that will enable you to adapt to new jobs and new circumstances - these are called Key Skills and cover Communication, Application of Number, Information Technology and personal skills such as working with others and developing yourself. Modern Apprenticeships are offered to people aged between 16 and 24. You will be working towards gaining a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) at a level 3. These qualifications are recognised throughout industry and are equivalent to A' levels. You have the choice of the following frameworks: It also gives you a great opportunity to gain Key Skills that employers are really looking for, such as team working, communication, information technology and number work. You will be in employment for at least the length of your training and often beyond, so this gives you the great opportunity of earning money whilst you are training.
